L’Oreal Paris Lucent Magique Blush Review

Hey cuties ! BLUSH TIME 🙂

Blush babies 🙂 Did you blush today? Today I’m reviewing 2 shades from the L’Oreal Paris Lucent Magique Blush range – a vibrant fuchsia 02 Fuchsia Flush and a glowing peach 04 Sunset Glow.

These blushes come in a luxurious looking rose gold compact (reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana blushes!). The compact contains a flat angular brush and mirror. The Lucent Magique range of products is all about subtle highlights and bringing light to the skin.

Concurrent with that theme, these are highlighting blushes that contain fine shimmer that adds a soft glow to the cheeks.

I like the concept of the blushes and the 3 colors in the pan do look attractive! The shimmer is very fine, non-gritty and adds a soft radiance to the skin without drawing attention to pores.

Each blush contains 3 strips of coordinating colors in the same color family. The lightest shade is a pearly light shade which packs the most shimmer, the middle shade is a bit deeper with a more matte/satin finish while the last strip of color is the darkest color.

The strips are too narrow to pick up individual shades and the best way to use these is to swirl a brush around to pick all 3 together and apply to the cheeks. Be careful to use a soft brush with these because the texture is soft and a scratchy brush can dislodge a lot of powder from the surface.

Overall, I quite like these blushes – the packaging and the formula feels lovely and luxurious though the lighter shades could have better wear time. These are slightly expensive though at Rs 850 for 4.5 g!

02 Fuchsia Flush is a cool toned pearly fuchsia blush – very pigmented and fairly long lasting (7+ hours).

The texture was smooth but not as soft and velvety as Sunset Glow. The color is muted down by the pearl running through it and despite the vibrant shade, its not difficult to wear. Do use a light hand during application because this is very pigmented! Pairs well with pink lipsticks.

04 Sunset Glow is a golden peach blush – great for light to medium complexions though may need layering to show well on deeper skin.

The color reminds me a lot of Benefit Coralista though Sunset Glow is peachier and shows up much better on my skin. This is the kind of color that you can wear with anything, any time of the day and it just works with everything! Being a softer color, this did not wear as long as Fuchsia Flush but a decent 5 hours on me.

I liked the soft, velvety texture of this shade. Great color for the festive season and in general as well! Sunset Glow is a golden peach shade, works well with many skin tones. Although requires more product when used on deeper tones. This can be worn both day and night, and for any occasion. It stayed on me for 5+ hours.
