Co-Ordinates – The Style Statement

Hi Fellas!!

Oh Yes! I am back. Moreover, I am loving skirts this season!! Remember when you were a kid and your mom used to dress you in matching outfits?  Most of the time they’d be covered in flowers or butterflies, and you probably swore that once you were old enough to dress yourself you would never be caught dead in anything dorky like that again. Well, I have got news for you: Co-ords are back in a big way. These are also known as twinning. Matching top and bottoms may be tricky to pull off, but doing it right can take an outfit to a whole new level of chic.

You’ve probably noticed the scope of celebrities who regularly rock tops and bottoms that match and the amount of stores and sites selling matching sets, but you might not have bit the bullet and tried the look out for yourself which you should as these outfits are perfect for any season.

If you’re worried about a top and skirt breaking up your long lean line, use a low contrast colour combination. And remember that these are not the only options. There are countless creative ways to wear tops with skirts, especially when you start layering.

Here I have created three looks with my co-ordinates. My co-ordinates are from www.stylesplash.in  They have some amazing collection I must say. Their Instagram page is Stylesplash_in (Must Follow). They also have some wide range of collection starting from maxi dress, skirts, party wear outfits, coats, jumpsuit, sweatshirt, sportswear and lot more. Don’t forget to check their collection. I know you gonna fall in love with their collection.  I hope my three looks will help you styling your co-ords on any random day or a party or brunch with your friends.

Look 1: Trying with a pair of crop top

That’s right, crop tops. They are flattering on absolutely everyone and you don’t have to show even a hint of your stomach to pull them off. Crop tops draw attention to your waist without actually cinching you in and make your legs look super long, while tops that end around your hips often hide your waist and make your legs look shorter. Pair a crop top with a high-waisted bottom or layer it over a longer top, like a button-down or silk camisole, and you need never to feel exposed. Here I have added it with the skirt or you can say the co-ords. Its all upto you how you want to add it to your wardrobe.. Don’t forget to add some accessories on it as it will create a more classy look.

Look 2: The co-ordinates itself

Dresses, in general, can be tough if your own waist doesn’t line up exactly with the waist of your dress. That’s what makes co-ords so great they combine the style and ease of a dress with the fit versatility of separates. Just paired it up with trendy hangings or studs or a neck-piece or a sling bag and there you go!!

Look 3: A more of denim to it

All I can say is- Yes!! a definitely super cool idea to match these with a pair of jeans or leggings whatever you feel like. Make a casual yet sporty look adding some denims to it. You can also tie a bun and wear shorts and make it look hotter in different seasons. Here I have just paired it up with my casual denim keeping it simple yet chic. !!

Hope you loved these looks and ideas about the co-ordinates. Don’t forget to tag me if you wear those @thedreamctchr.

Until next time,

Love, Siddhi
